BOOKKEEPER (PART-TIME)

You are an experienced, highly organized, detail-oriented bookkeeper ready to join our team. In this part-time position, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial and administrative operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is a great team player, proactive, and resourceful.

This part-time (20-25 hours per week), in-office position is located in Waterloo, Ontario. We are close to the LRT and bus routes, but having a vehicle would be an asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounts receivable: invoicing clients and posting payments, credit card processing on our Freshbooks online payment system
  • Accounts payable
  • HR: Payroll and timesheets
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Manage cashflow
  • Prepare year-end accounts for the accountant
  • Other accounting functions
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • Manage office supplies

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Quickbooks Desktop with Payroll
  • Knowledge of Canadian & Ontario tax obligations
  • Fluency in English, verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines

HELPFUL SKILLS

  • Good communication skills
  • Experience with Google Workspace (Google Mail, Google Sheets, and Docs)
  • Familiarity with online payment systems (Freshbooks)
  • Experience in an IT environment or marketing agency is an asset
